Why A Few Fun Moves?

When Andrea first started teaching online classes she missed the conversations before, and after class. So she started sending out emails to participants called ‘A Few Fun Things’ as a way to connect and build a community. If you received these emails in the early days you knew that they usually consisted of her favourite cookie recipe, a groovy playlist, or a link to her comfiest sweatpants. From this, A Few Fun Moves was born.

When and how often should I participate in AFFM?

Ask yourself before you login: “Why am I doing this today? Is it for myself? Am I going to feel better? Am I maybe tired now, but will feel great after? Do I want to watch Andrea make weird nosies while doing 100 leg lifts?” If the answer is “yes!” Then rock on, let’s have some fun!

How does the subscription work, and what does it include?

You will be charged $35 CAD on the day you subscribe. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of your cycle, monthly. You can cancel at anytime, and will continue to have access until the end of that current billing cycle. Unfortunately we cannot offer any refunds at this time, but if you would like to discuss your subscription or account details with us, you can send us a message to andrea@afewfunmoves.com.

Your subscription will include access to the full ‘A Few Fun Moves’ library of workouts, with 3 new workouts added weekly. Our library has 3 different intensity levels to suite your needs and meet you where your body is at each day.

How does the music work?

Each workout has its own unique Spotify playlist for you to listen along with. Follow the steps below for the best audio quality:

  1. Pick the fun moves you want to participate in that day.

  2. Open embedded Spotify playlist in a new window.

  3. Press play on workout, and Spotify playlist at the same time.

  4. Toggle both the workout audio volume, and the Spotify audio to get the music and the workout audio to your liking.

  5. You can then collectively turn up the audio on the music AND the workout simultaneously directly from your device audio.

What equipment would you recommend?

Every workout has an equipment list in the description so you can get yourself set up before the workout starts. We tend to get a lot of use out of our 5 and 8 pound dumbbells for upper body work, then 10-20 pound dumbbells for lower body work. AFFM has a collection of over 80+ workouts that can be done entirely body-weight, and we always encourage listening to your body and picking the option that feels best for you that day.

Another fun addition to your at home gym can be a resistance loop band. We don’t use them often. However, they can be a fun way to add in some low impact resistance into your Fun Moves.

If moving with no added resistance of weights, or bands is what you are feeling that day? go for it!
